Summer Crotchet

Florida has been so hot this summer it is literally almost unbearable! At one point today, it was 101!! During summer months, it's often hard for me to want to put on a full cute outfit just to sweat a gallon as soon as I step foot outside. I always resort to plain t's and easy shorts when the weather gets this bad, but I thought this crotchet fringe vest was a cute addition to my otherwise bland ensemble. By just adding this fringe vest, I made my black tank top and shorts combo look far more put together! Hope you all are having a fabulous week!

Lazy Sunday Stripes

Happy Sunday, friends! Hope you all are having a fabulous weekend! On a typical Sunday I usually wake up early, grab breakfast with my boyfriend, and we both head off to church! Now once I get home.... real clothes come off and comfy clothes go on. Today I had to run a few errands around town so I decided to slip into this comfy maxi and a plain black tee. Seriously y'all, so comfy! Sidenote- I got this skirt and necklace when I was in Cali at the California Market Center, a 13 story building with about 50 offices on each floor that house showrooms for wholesale buyers {from Nordstrom, Target, Neimans ect.} Once a month, they open the showrooms to the public for sample sales and let me tell ya, it's CRAZY. Because they are not retail stores, they have no dressing rooms and do not provide shopping bags, so it was definitely interesting! I loved the CMC because these items are things buyers are getting for the upcoming seasons.. aka most things there are not available to the public yet so you can find really unique pieces before they hit stores! Hope you all are enjoying a lazy Sunday as well!

Coral Crush

As far back as I can remember, I have always loved pinks and corals. Coral is definitely a summer color and it just makes me happy! I'm a fan of coral anything, so I had to get this silk top with a huge flower ruffle. The top is perfect for printed shorts, like I wore it, and for pretty white shorts. It's no secret I love Summer so coral is a must have. I also L-O-V-E coral lips and my favorite combo is Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Rendezvous and Revlon lipgloss in Coral Reef. Hope everyone is having a fabulous week {and enjoying the extra day off!} Happy Early 4th!

Recap of my trip to LA

As I mentioned in my last post, I just got back from Los Angeles yesterday! I was there for about 5 days looking at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising located in the heart of downtown LA. FIDM hosted their annual Three Days of Fashion program and I absolutely LOVED it. I have been talking to an admissions officer for about 2 months now and she is amazing! I fell in love with the campus as soon as I stepped foot onto Grand Hope Park, the LA owned park surrounding the campus. I did several workshops taught by professors (who not only teach fashion but also work in the industry) and the staff was so kind! I haven't completed my application yet, but fingers crossed that LA will be my home a year from now!!
